We use this formula to estimate additional costs, up front.- Disassembling. Some furniture we can move easily, and some we'll have to disassemble before we load it onto the van only to reassemble it once we reach our destination.
- Parking Distance. If there is no parking allowed within half a block we add half an hour to our initial estimate.
- Stairs. Too small an elevator? An hour and a half more.
- Space. We also take into account space and weight parameters.
- Stack-ability. For example, do you need a big truck or a small van? Often, customers don't realize space necessity depends more on how easy it is to stack piles of their boxes than the size of the furniture.
- Weight. Sometimes we can't load a half-full truck with another pound without popping the tires, so we always build weight into the estimate.
