Photo from Brent W.’s move with Puget Sound Moving Ahead of schedule

“Puget Sound Moving was really responsive when creating an estimate, and very competitively priced. My two movers, Josh and Carlos were courteous, careful, and incredibly efficient. The move happened without any incident and was done ahead of schedule.”

Brent W.Google review

“We had a mix up with our building’s elevator reservation and it could have been very stressful. But Kevin, Louise, and Ozzie were so patient and they had such great attitudes that the move went smoothly.”

Tessa H.Google review

“They had the whole contents of large furniture items, table, chairs, bed etc from a 1 bedroom condo loaded in under 2.5 hours. All items were meticulously wrapped in moving blankets and handled with the utmost care.”

Bellevue Apartment Movers Who Plan Around Your Building

Downtown towers, mid-rises in the Spring District, and garden-style complexes in Crossroads, Eastgate, and Factoria each come with their own rules. Our Bellevue apartment movers learn those rules before moving day, so your elevator time, loading dock slot, and move window all go the way they should.

We move studios, 1- and 2-bedroom apartments, and condos of every size, whether you’re moving into your first place or downsizing from a house.

Moving Into or Out of a Downtown Bellevue High-Rise

Most high-rise and newer apartment buildings ask for some or all of the following before a moving truck can use the dock. Send us your building’s move-in packet and we’ll take care of our part.

  • Elevator reservation and elevator pads
  • Certificate of insurance for building management
  • Loading dock time slot
  • Set move-in and move-out hours
  • Truck parking that fits the building
  • Hallway and door frame protection

“Unloading into my new place was even faster despite a miniscule elevator and painfully narrow hallways. They even got my 7-foot couch around multiple narrow 90 degree bends and into my new apartment when it appeared impossible.”

Walk-Ups and Garden-Style Apartments

Older complexes around Bellevue often mean stairs instead of elevators, long carries from the parking lot, and tight breezeways. A third mover can make a real difference on a second- or third-floor walk-up, since one person can stay on the truck while two carry.

What to Expect for Your Apartment Move

Studios and 1-bedrooms

Two movers and a truck handle most of these. One customer’s 1-bedroom condo was loaded in under two and a half hours; another’s studio-to-townhouse move was done in about two hours, drive included.

2-bedrooms and larger condos

Three movers is the usual fit, and it speeds up the stairs and long hallways that come with bigger buildings.

Tips for Bellevue Apartment Moves

Reserve the elevator before the movers

Building time slots are the hardest thing to change, so book those first and set the crew around them.

Measure the big pieces

Check your sofa, bed, and desk against the new unit’s doors and hallway turns. If something is tight, tell us ahead of time so the crew comes prepared.

Keep your fob or key handy

Many buildings need a fob for the elevator or loading area. Having it ready at the start keeps the crew from waiting.

Moving to storage?

Between leases, we can move part or all of your apartment into a storage unit and bring it out again later.

Apartment Moving Questions

Can you provide a certificate of insurance for my building?

Yes. Send us your building’s requirements, including the exact wording they need on the certificate, and we’ll get it to your property manager ahead of move day.

What if my elevator reservation is only a few hours?

Tell us the window when you book. We size the crew so the move fits inside it, and we plan the load so the heaviest trips happen first.

Do you move just furniture?

Yes. If you’d rather move your own boxes, we can bring a crew for the furniture only.

Do you also move condos and townhomes?

Yes. Condos move much like apartments, and townhomes often combine apartment-style parking with house-style stairs. We plan the crew for both.
