What Customers Say
Real Google reviews from customers of our Bellevue office.
Referred by family “I hired Puget Sound moving after my parents referred me to them… The crew arrived promptly, had all the equipment needed, and clearly communicated with me on timeline expectations. The crew took extra care to properly wrap all of my belongings so that they would not get damaged. I was especially concerned about a arc lamp I had, But it’s arrived perfectly.”
Antonio’s crew “Puget Sound Moving is amazing! Antonio and his crew were fast, efficient and so kind!!! I highly recommend them. Support local businesses!!!”
“Ozzie and his crew were amazing to work with. Efficient, careful with my things, and carried a positive attitude with great conversations throughout the move. They never made any assumptions and got my new place setup exactly as I asked.”
Local Moving in Bellevue, Billed by the Hour
A local move is one that starts and ends close to home: an apartment in Crossroads to a house in Lake Hills, a downtown condo to a townhome in Issaquah, or a family home in Bridle Trails to a new one in Kirkland. Our Bellevue local movers charge by the hour for the crew and truck, so what you pay reflects how much you’re moving and how the day actually goes.
Our crews start the day at our office on 156th Ave NE, not across the lake. For moves within Bellevue and to nearby Eastside cities like Redmond, Kirkland, Sammamish, and Mercer Island, that means a crew that knows the roads, the buildings, and the neighborhoods.
“The whole thing was done in about 2 hours including the 20 minute drive between my studio apartment and the town house I moved in to… the final charges were spot on the original estimate.”

Choosing the Right Crew for Your Local Move
More movers cost more per hour but finish faster, so a bigger crew is often the cheaper choice on a large home. Here’s where most Bellevue moves land:
- 2 movers + truck: studios and 1-bedroom apartments
- 3 movers + truck: 2-bedroom apartments and small homes
- 4 movers + truck: 3-bedroom homes
- 4 movers + 2 trucks: 3- to 4-bedroom homes
- 5 movers + 2 trucks: 4- to 5-bedroom homes
- 6 movers + 2 trucks: 5+ bedrooms and large homes
Not sure which fits? Walk us through your home on a video call and we’ll recommend the crew your move actually needs.
What’s Included With Every Local Mover Crew

How to Keep an Hourly Bellevue Move Moving
Book the elevator and loading zone first
Downtown towers and the newer buildings in the Spring District book up, especially at the end of the month. Lock in your building’s time slot, then book the crew around it.
Be packed before the truck arrives
Taped, labeled boxes load fast. Half-packed rooms slow everything down. If packing is the bottleneck, our packers can come the day before.
Start early and skip the Friday rush
An early start beats the worst of I-405 and the SR 520 bridge. Midweek moves are usually easier to schedule and quicker on the road than a Friday afternoon.
Save a spot for the truck
Street parking is tight in parts of West Bellevue and downtown. Saving space near your door shortens every trip from the house to the truck.
Local Moving Questions
What counts as a local move?
Moves around Bellevue, the Eastside, and the greater Puget Sound area are usually billed by the hour. Longer moves are priced as long distance. When you call, we’ll tell you which applies to your move.
How long does a local move take?
It depends on how much you’re moving, stairs and elevators, and drive time. As real examples, one customer’s studio-to-townhouse move took about two hours including the drive, and another customer’s 1-bedroom condo was loaded in under two and a half hours.
Can you move just a few heavy items?
Yes. Plenty of Bellevue customers handle their own boxes and have us move only the furniture, which keeps the hours down.
How soon can you move me?
Two to four weeks’ notice gives you the most options, but short-notice local moves are often possible. Call the Bellevue office and we’ll check the schedule.
